Step 1:
Tightly Wrapped up in non stretchable bandaid

Optional
Step two (adviced by my teacher):
Tied two 4.5 mm wires along the trunk on the places where the OUTSIDE bends will be to give extra support and no breaking the trunk

Step 3 raffia and 5mm wires

Step 4:
Wrapped it up with wet towel for a week
According to my teacher it helps get the wood more supple.

Say what now?! Did I miss Sorce offering a pot. Show me the pot!
I looked under the pots part of the forum and cannot find it.

This is the thread ^ I was working on when he made one that would've probably been perfect.
Since others had shown interest, I didn't feel too bad for letting it go. Not so sure the tusk/boar
signature to it was where I wanted to go with it, and I wanted a bit more room and try my hand at
making a wooden pot. Then I screwed the tag down to the wrong side of the pot
It seems to be recovering ok, just not up to speed with the ones that had not been potted of course.

Thanks for the demo defra! Looks so slim line after removing the towel like there's only raffia.
How long ago did you do this?

It's very cool doing these things.
Makes you want to do more of the same huh?
You won't look at straight trunks the same again.
Now you'll see all kinds of things to do to material that otherwise wouldn't be so great.

Yes its fun to do!
And yes even beanpoles are interesting now :p
You might find this interesting too mike:
To me it was like he yeah thats smart!
Fat heavy branches (not all of them) are sometimes not bendable down or upwards
But when you drill a little hole trough the center of the branch with a wood drill wrap it in raffia keep it wet for a couple days and then pull the branch down or up with a guy wire works great ive got some pics off the process but gotta go to work now ill post them up later

Been looking for a small round drumming pot lately.

So I'm biased .
