With all due respect, this virus has a 0.3% chance of killing a young healthy person with no comorbidities. Also, I'm not encouraging anyone not to get the vaccine. If you read what I wrote, you'll see that I actually encourage people to get the vaccine if they think they need it. I just refuse to be a test dummy for this, with no compensation. I don't think that's unreasonable at all.
I'm certainly no anti-vaxxer, but I do like long-term clinical trials and tests. From what I've heard, a vaccine like this would normally have at a minimum a two-year trial. Personally I'd like to see four or five years down the line, but maybe in two years I'll consider it. As long as everyone I know who's been vaccinated isn't dropping dead or having their hearts burst out of their chest, I'll probably get it.
