Wait for it to get some strength back. If it looks like it's growing back strong and vigorous, MAYBE then think about it, but you'd be safest to wait until fall.

I forget how the nebari is, but if a trees capability % to layer is better than the current aesthetic, potting is just a waste of energy.

Hey Sorce,

Just a quick question. Some of the leaves on the lower 2 branches appear to be turning yellow/black. I'm fearing the worst. Would this be normal after a trunk chop or is the tree dying? I've also been moving outdoors during the day where its normally been indoors at window location.

I may have been too caught up in the tree to notice it was inside....

Probably just that.

Unless it's freezing, I'd leave it out.
