Is it just the pic or does the wire seem to be cutting in?

It arrived with a few biting in. But not bad. These are optical illusions. No wire biting. I'm very watchful of it. Which having few trees. (17) allows me to be more diligent. Thanks for being concerned.I'll double check to be sure.

Winged elm...I have not repotted as of yet in my care...should I consider so next year? Or leave alone as it is establishing itself as a ROR? I know they are to be a long term project. Don't wish it to fall off the rock. Purchased it this way...

Waking up...noticed wings developing on unwired new growth a ways back. So it's minimal wiring to keep some order, and allowing wings to form. .

Just appreciating the texture of bark forming on the trunk. Some areas have so much depth to it.
