If you can’t find anyone to repot, that would be pretty simple at this time of year. Unclear if the tree is going back into the original pot? If so simply saw off the bottom half of the root ball, cut an inch h or two around the perimeter. Tease out old soil put back int he pot filling with new soil. Keep the tree out of full sun for a week or two. Water to keep roots moist but not soggy

I sent you a message. But I’m not sure you can send messages from a new account? You can send me your contact details. I know an experienced practitioner in that area.

Too bad the person who purchased the $2000 tree does not seem to know how to care for it. Usually someone who buys such an expensive tree would have extra pots/ containers and soil.

Contact them, they have good reputation, not sure how far they are from you.

Thanks

Edit:
Read the post wrong, tree is in Kansas, your in Tampa.

You could try to repair the pot with epoxy glue, or build a new wooden box. This would give the tree owner time to acquire a new pot and plan the repot next year.

Thanks
