MY GARDEN, SHARE YOURS

Gorgeous! I'd love to have rocks in my garden, but in South Louisiana it would be overrun with weeds in 3 days. No amount of weed barrier I've ever seen will keep weeds at bay for long here.
Weeds grow fast............but so do bonsai trees! So, I guess it evens out.

The only reliable weed barrier in South LA is a stainless steel plate. I’ve seen weeds growing among the rust layer of a steel plate.

I finally worked up the courage to restore mine - not perfect but it was more an emotional journey for me and took a couple months

Lovely tribute to your dad's memory to restore your garden and I'm not gonna' lie, I teared up a bit at the end. I'm sure he was watching from somewhere and smiling down upon you.

Yeah it's why It took soooo long for me to do it - every time I wanted to I ended up breaking down - I filmed it mainly so I would have a goal to do it - but It took a few weeks cause I would have to stop and deal with my emotions at points.

Took some pics of my landscape trees last night. Had the back cleaned out with a bobcat before they started working on the house next door, going to try to get the granite installed before they clear the land and place the fence, if not it is going to be a pain to bring over 60 yards of soil on wheelbarrows.

From what some people say, this are all post oaks. The smaller one planted by the builder is a live oak, which I may move all the way to the back once I have the water line install for the garden. Area behind the little fence is around 65' x 100'.

There is an additional oak missing on this pic, it was entirely covered by the house.
