MIRAI YATSUBUSA ELM

In the spirit of Smoke's thread about tree worth... How much are you paying for this one? :)

Oh come on a gentleman never tells and NEVER rocks a pink thong. So Smoke is free and absolved. He wouldn't have it any other way! :p:D

FYI, Mirai's Covered Wagon white glove delivery service is not cheap but I suppose cheaper and most definitely much safer than sending via FedEx or UPS although one may have to wait a long time for it.

"White Glove" delivery it's really not. Paying for shipping to avoid having the tree smashed beyond recognition is worth the investment.

Did they award the tree to you like they do with the Stanley Cup? :)

Haha, guys take as you will. That's what Mirai calls it. Hey man I just work here and I don't make da rules! :p

The tree is really awesome now and I can't wait to see what it looks like after a few years in your hands. And that Byron Myrick pot is super cool too.

Great tree, Serg. It's difficult to top the praise heaped on it by everyone participating here, but I think that the fact you chose it is what will make this tree out of this world! Great choice.

This elm was purchased from Mirai last year.
This first photo is just unbelievable!
Such a big tree into a small wooden crate!
... ...As almost in every case, this tree is far better in person. Hard to depict its physical presence.
I do understand what you say.

I believe this tree has a future in the National Arboretum at some point in time. I'd love to it in person one day. Thanks for posting it. Do you happen to know the fate of the other ones Ryan had?

Thanks Fred! Well I can say that you were part of my inspiration for getting this elm. :)

I thought the same when Ryan sent me the pic. Not sure about the size of that box but then again I am not about to argue it since Ryan has more than enough horticultural acumen. The pot it is in now I believe might be bigger than the box!

Here you go Vin. These are two other elms Ryan showed me.

Impressive but yours has much more primary and secondary branch movement. That last one would look pretty sweet on my bench though.

Yes I am sure that in person they would be pretty impressive. The one I purchased I really liked for the very natural feel the tree has. It reminded me very much of some large oaks that I see around my area with large, wide spreading canopies.

Someone should tell Ryan that he needs a better background for those photos, kind of hard to really see the structure of the trees :)
