I'm disappointed in your lack of ability to compare and contrast things and your willingness to make your ignorance known.
I know the Left thinks that if you agree with Martin Luther King Jr about judging people on the content of their character rather than the color of their skin, that that makes you a "dangerous racist" and they believe that "reality" is a construct built by the evil white male patriarchy to oppress minorities of all stripes and the the use of objective thought and reason makes you a white supremacist....... I was about to write the same answer. In Japan, it is said that there are very few thefts (mainly food), & no need to lock your door.
For me the best way to protect your house and garden, is not video surveillance cameras but 1 or 2 big dogs that scares and barks. Geese make a lot of noise too but aren't scary like a big dog.

My dad always said...to give into the reaction another wishes to inflict on you...allows them to win. By his actions in the video...they were the losers...they didn't get the end results they surely hoped for. Sucks it happened...but they did not break him. He can see a new day for what it's worth. I think...he realizes personal belongings at the end of the day...is just that. His family is not hurt...traumatic experiences can really put into perspective the more important things in life. Sucks it happened...but they did not break him...he proved that. I do hope security caught who did this...and they live with the consequences of their ignorant actions.

Japan has high average IQ and narrow distribution and conformist culture where people are more similar to each other genetically than in other populations/nations. Perfect characteristics for a high-trust society where people cooperate and dont go rogue, like psychos who trash property for fun do.
