Any collected tree should be left alone until recovered from the transplant. Depends on the species and individuals will also be different but at least a season, sometimes a couple of years until they are strong enough to cope with more trauma. Strong, sustained growth is usually the signal that you can take the next step.
We are always eager to get on with it but please just look after it for now.
Don't even bother planning style or shape because you still don't know which parts, if any, will survive the transplant.
