Kilns - I have a ? about electric kilns

Oxidation is the easiest to control the results of. But people who do gas reduction can as well with experience. My digital controller Ox kiln has pre programs so I can just hit go lol. I write my firing schedule to get the best results with my clay and glazes via testing. And it makes a huge difference. Plus a vent does as well. Just like anything there are little details that make a difference. They all add up to a huge difference.

Is this a kiln sitter? I assume so.

Mine would drop a cone before the sitter cone. Once I put a 7 in the sitter I'd hit cone 6.
But with the triangle cones , moving it left or right affects the time also. You can get bars that are evenly thick across.. .but ...meh ....

Always have a cone pack on every shelf and shut it off manually when they are down.

Far as drying ..
Rule #1 cuz it's always correct.
Weigh the pots when almost dry, when they stop losing weight it is safe to fire them still candle for safe measure.
