I worked on mine today . Same as usual long internodes seemingly no matter when you trim . Lets see what I accomplished in a few weeks lol . This year I’ve pinched, defoliated, pinched and then another partial defoliation. My growth is tighter and more controlled and the leaves are much smaller. Last year I did 2 full defoliations and a partial after that. But the fall colors sucked.
Plus, I haven’t repotted in 3 years so I’m a bit root bound.
