With @Dav4 's thread on acquiring JWP seedlings it stirred my desire to give a couple a try.
I called Julian Adams and ordered his book on growing Pines for bonsai and a seedling or 2.
He emailed me back he had them ready to ship including 2 seedlings, and the cost was insignificant really, so I asked
if he could send a couple more. His answer was he only had about 2 dozen left, and would probably hold onto them
given the seed shortage. I may have received the last of his lot until 2024...
What's more, he sent his Micromax out, then the book and seedlings on the honor system! I returned a check in the mail.
So pleasant, and nice to do business with trustworthy individuals.
I have one more coming from Kaede bonsai-en

When I inquired about how they had been Wintered, he said they were fully dormant, and had been kept outdoors
there in Lynchburg, VA. I have no qualms with timing of this shipment, however, beyond that, I am at a loss as to what to do
for these during the Summer. He said he leaves them in this pot another year, mostly Turface he said.
But when do I start full Sun regimen? I guess as long as they don't dry out while I'm at work this Summer, they will
tolerate whatever conditions I can manage to give as much Sun as possible vs drying out.
Last year I put 3 JWP in a raised garden bed and lost all 3
