Does anyone else find it funny that all the Home Depot receipts have more than just the one shrub on them? Perhaps Home Depot should host this challenge yearly as a way to drum up sales!

I am a Pro at crastination, so here's my entry.

I found this Juniper 'Sargenti' - Juniperus Chinensis at Home Depot for $7.98 . I have not seen a Sargent's in a long time ! Great soft needle foliage that matures to scale foliage.

It looks like a twin trunk, maybe 1/2 inch each. Most were really crowded with dead brown foliage inside with growth near the long branch tips. I pulled it open, amazingly plenty of new buds popping on the trunk and branch bases despite being shaded by the dead foliage which has me excited about this little tree.

I got a chuckle because they were the only small junipers AND they were $1 off.
