Wow, I have never had issues with squirrels and my trees thankfully.
I've had birds dig out the moss I had on top of the pots looking for bugs/worms though

My dog is getting so old he can't hear them as well, and he moves a lot slower these days. They've started to realize that, and I see the "cheeky" little varmints sneaking around inside the fence. I don't have a bonsai yet, but I have several good candidates for pre-bonsai next year. Keeping my blowgun nearby.

15 years ago we had squirrels under strict protection by law, now they are partially protected.
