How early for Neem Oil?

Neem fixed this juniper last year.

AFTER the death of the spider mites...

Does the gray foliage return to green? Or do you have to cut it off and hope new growth replaces it? While on the subject, does neem oil have any beneficial effect on the juniper itself or just as a miticide? 🤔

Is Neem preventative as well as mite killer? If so, how soon to apply?

As a dormant oil, you can use it at any time.

You have to be careful applying it to tender foliage or foliage exposed to direct sun. It can cause leaf damage due to burning and/or leaf smothering (as an oil). Just be aware.

I start spraying as soon as the weather starts changing. I spray in the evening so the foliage doesnt get burnt in the sun.

Nope, I just spray. A mix of BioAdvanced 3 in 1 and neem

On second thought, it may still be too cold for mitey moms to have babies so I'm gonna wait for a month or so and then begin whacking limbs and seeing the falling critters.
More fun to smother than to prevent.
