Starting this thread for this hornbeam collected last fall. This did very well despite a late collection.

Spring update:

This tree didn’t respond as I had hoped this spring. I cut off a lot of the existing branches as I had some larger ones above and smaller ones below. I also cut that first big one back to try to correct the slingshot style, hoping it would hit back along the branch and let me chase it back further. However, it just grouped new growth on the tip. Alas.
