I think the smashoid ones would be from snow mobiles, think trails

The best ones are along forest service roads here. They brush hog the edges effectively cutting them back every few years.
Other places to look are out in the open where there is no competition for light.

I bought a little 150 quad on the cheap I keep up there for scouting, then ill come back with the jeep to execute the mission. believe it or not the dodge caravan can handle the snow mobile trials LOL, beat the heck out of it though.
