If you want to be considered an insider in bonsai, -someone with taste and adhering to tradition, you shun them and look down your nose at them.

I'm glad I know this. Now, I can seek out the most gaudy and bright bpa-filled plastic characters and put them under my beautiful traditional trees. Thinking to start with the pink ranger, maybe a pez dispenser would make a nice pair.
Of course, my crock-pot bonsai pot might need a new coat of teal and pink spray paint to match...
... must really suck being an insider with all of those stuffy rulez...
