Flowers 2026

It's in the basement with the other creatures. :) It's a succulent and I think that is the flower.

I do have another Orchid getting a ready to flower in the next few weeks. Orchid Zygopetalum Debbie de Mello 'Honolulu Baby'

Flowers look like this.

Purple for @Carol 83 and to entice @shohin_branches to get an Orchid. :)

I don't know about the rest of you northern folks but I've had enough of all the cold and snow this winter.
So for something a little more cheerful here's a short video from last summer of the sites and sounds along the quarter mile long entrance road to the Valley View area in Cascade Valley metropark, it's like this the whole length on both sides. Turn up the volume and Think warm!🙂

This Orchid likes a cool/cold period with no to very little water, just enough to keep the stems from shriveling too much to make it bloom.
The flowers are less than an inch across that have a very strong Lilac smell. I've had these down to 37 deg f.
