I ordered this little Ficus Benjamina 5 or 6 months ago. It was about 10inches tall with a small double trunk structure. I’m a beginner and so far Ficus have been alot of fun to work with. They’re so flexible you can really get some cool shapes. Im pretty happy with how this one is progressing in such a short period of time. Today I removed the wires I had applied from the first pictures and reapplied new wire. Did a little structural pruning as well as pruning some of the tips to encourage more branching. I left the leader without pruning to continue growing upward and hopefully to help thicken the trunk. Let me know what you think.
Thanks
::::::::The 1st two pictures are when I first got it. All following pictures are from today.

Update on my Ficus Benjamina. I repotted and did some root work but forgot to get pictures of the roots! 🤦‍♂️ I’ve had it a pond basket for about a year and it did have a lot of fine feeder roots. It had a decent sized root ball, I removed some crossing and curving roots. Once it was replanted I pruned some branches, just lightly I didn’t remove anything major. Once that was done I applied some wires where I wanted them. I normally wouldn’t repot, root prune, prune branches, and wire all in one go. These are pretty hardy and grow vigorously in my hot climate though, so I think it should be fine. Based off how much it grew in one season I’m excited to see how ,ugh it will develop over the next year.
