I been itchin to cut off a funky back branch. This here....
Cuz it's not doing anything till the end.
It's ugly. And a little big. And big ugly.
A while back my "almost tree" was like...
You should cut off this one...
Boy is raw!
I could Probly get a bud there if I cut it....
But that other branches branch is ready to take its place in "mass" (lol. That's what we called parking lot passrounds at Guitar Center. Mass.) but that's not what I. Talking about in this case.
Cuz mass is its only real objective from the front.
Nothing interesting.
But the moss is got Damn nice.
You can see the 3 different types.
I love moss.

I been fertilizing almost every other day!
Not really...I have a little thing about it a page back or so...
I'm hoping to have about a 5 day window in this things while life where it actually looks good!

The leaves will reduce! My name Benjamina has quarter inch leaves when it's happy. It dried out a few weeks back and last some branches so it's in recovery but with pretty consistent pruning they get small!

I been cutting this F....ficus Ben a lot.
Cut that first front right branch a couple days ago(finally, eeew)....and wrapped the base to get some roots...
Already got some roots poppin where I left it uncovered for a while....

How big was it when you started working it?
I have one that's a bit thicker then a pencil and 8''- 9'' high. I'd like to start working it .
I plan on keeping it under 12'' and its being trained on a rock atm.

It's a bit less than 6inches tall from soil...
And pretty much always has been.
Don't ever remember letting any branches get much passed 8in.

Was tryin to wait till summer to cut back real far, but it was already getting away from me, and poppin, but not pushin.

I got tired of the reverse taper this was creating....so I am guiding the healing.
Clamp has nothing to do with this...
And the clamp popped off so I have to put it back on!
Watch I'll get bark there from the trauma!
