I'm not saying yours or any of the other trees entered aren't worthy. I'm merely pointing out that there is no need to rush it. There's plenty of time.

@source - it will be ok, if I read correctly to enter no later then November 11th? I screwed up once so checking is all :p It also says that in one post and Halloween in another - trying to confuse me more then I already am or?

Everything ceases on November 11th.

Entry and Voting.

So while you may enter November 9th.

I wouldn't.

@sorce, do you have to show a picture of the receipt for your purchase? The reason I ask is that I bought this juniper last month and haven't gotten around to styling it, I would like to enter it. Would it qualify as an acceptable entry? Can we put it in a bonsai pop when finished or just leave it in the nursery pot? Anyhow, here it is:

Have made my first cuts today so yay and have settled on a front and general design but have kind of stalled in cleaning it up.
Should it stay or should it go, that type of thing.
Beer o'clock is only a few hours away so that will likely help with the procrastination issue.

double branches
DOH
even harder to decide

good Luck :p

I'm going to be in. Just found this and sounds fun! Gotta go to my nursery friends place again. He has a motor rebuild coming up so I'll just take something:)

I wonder how many will be alive next fall?

Good going source.

Damn! I know who Im voting for. Or is judging excluded from entrants? Anyway. @sorce any chance of multiple entries? Say three at the max? Some unnamed individual on here just started a fire under my ass!

Sorry to hear about your charred burro!

One entry is the limit.

However.....

You are more than encouraged to style and post any/many other trees in a new thread/threads, and you can even put a link to your contest tree with a note to vote!

Now let me go put a name to nameless!....

So I got two now. One freebie from my friends place and a huge $16 investment at Walmart. Don't laugh as that is my second most expensive tree yet.(the other was $20 from "The Roadside Van")
Let the fun begin!

I've finished styling my "masterpiece". I'm giving it a couple days to make tweeks and waiting for some good light to take a picture, because it's all about the presentation. Bring on the prizes! Haha.

Still working on mine. I repotted, pruned and started wirng on Saturday, did some more wiring on Sunday, then had to wait for more wire gauges to arrive in the mail yesterday. Life keeps getting in the way! I stupidly thought wiring would be quicker on a small tree, but, of course, it's just scaled down, so there are just about as many turns of the wire, lol! I hope to get final photos tomorrow.
