My balcony is going to become a jungle. I'm wondering if you can achieve similar trunk thickness by keeping the tree narrow but allowing vertical growth only.

I think so.

It was dropping the leaves as it usually do, so I get it a little help. When you put them in a small pot, the grow less vigorously, and make smaller leaves too

I`m Sorry for your elm, I hope maples still survive

This one is making good in my location, even in the great snow that we have a couple of years ago. It was buried in snow for a week, and no problema at all.

But normaly the weather is not so coold.

I wasn't happy with the nebari, so i screw it ....to a wooden board

Checking the video I noticed that a couple of clips were missing when editing it for the first time, so here you have the final extended uncutted direrctor's version

where you can see better the "ugly" nebari before the bigg roots were cutted off.

My apologies for the mistake.
