Toupee...

I mean...

Touche!

Sorce

I'm in denial then. Here are the first five demands from the 25 point program. Which ones are you hearing come out of Trump's mouth?

11. That all unearned income, and all income that does not arise from work, be abolished.

12. Since every war imposes on the people fearful sacrifices in blood and treasure, all personal profit arising from the war must be regarded as treason to the people. We therefore demand the total confiscation of all war profits.

13. We demand the nationalization of all trusts.

14. We demand profit-sharing in large industries.

15. We demand a generous increase in old-age pensions.

Also:

23. We demand that there be a legal campaign against those who propagate deliberate political lies and disseminate them through the press....

LOL at that one.
Sadly, the 23rd HAS come out of his mouth,

As a member of the media, I run across this attitude of "they shouldn't be able to print that" quite a bit. Mostly, mobsters and two-bit politicians use it. I've been threatened by both over the years. Trump's rhetoric to "open up" libel laws is a veiled threat to chill free speech by intimidation.

And FWIW, if he's willing to go after the First Amendment aggressively, do you really think the Second, Fifth or Fourteenth Amendments are really all that safe from someone who operates only on his own whims without any regard for the law?

hmm..
I am always surprised to see how masses can take such a person serious. Don't people realize this is the guy who would get acces to nuclear weapons? I doubt he would hesitate to drop one on North korea if they start testing long distance rockets.

I think dropping one on North Korea is the least of our problems. I believe him to be a power mad, egomaniac who would use force to silence anyone who annoyed him. He is already taking aim at the First Amendment.

Not quite the same as #23, but close enough to draw a comparison....

Wow... may as well ask for the perfect soil mix thread...
I only fear The Donald w/the launch codes and an attitude that day. "You're FIRING!!!"
Other than that...

I think it would be interesting to see what he would do as president...

...Worst case he would just be impeached. Possibly improve the debt?

And if you think he is going to piss off all the worlds leaders, do you not realize that he has hundreds of businesses in several countries? I think he knows how to deal with people when his money is at stake.

Do I want him to win? Not really, its just a case of the lesser of two evil but I think its funny how I always hear about how much everyone hates him yet he is leading the primaries thus far.

Means most people [average people] like him, but then again I have always thought that 'average' is surprisingly low.

I'm no expert on the American constitution, but my logic says to me a President of the US of A does not have the power to chop or change anything the way he/she sees fit....?
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but if he does become President he will be bound by the system, the same as the ones before him, when it comes to implementing new ideas...?
For instance if he does want the wall built, doesn't it have to pass the Senate and the Congress and an array of obstacles first?
What I'm trying to say.. its one thing promising (even shocking) from the pulpit, but another to deliver, given the system in place to prevent exactly that...?

Not at all an attack on the GOP in referencing the Nazi 25 Point Programme, just Trump alone.
I'd rather vote for Rubio than Hillary.

Undeniably, Trump preys on the fear and anger of the population to gain support.
He isolates and condemns specific groups of people, instilling irrational fear into the American population about these people. Specifically Mexicans and Muslims.

He has said he wants to create a national database to track and identify Muslim Americans and also halt the immigration of Muslims into this country; for no reason except their religious beliefs. Oh, and absolutely zero Syrian refugees. At the same time he has also said, "The thing about these terrorists is you have to take out their families. When you get these terrorists, you have to take out their families." The conspiracy theorists have been going crazy for years believing those bullshit ass stories about "FEMA Camps created by Obama to enslave Christians", but they hear this shit and its ok. They hear Trump say he wants to carpet bomb the entire Middle East and leave it as nothing but glass and they thinks thats ok. Not only ok, but they are vocally supportive of it. This dude is running to be the Commander in Chief along with the President of the US and is justifying, supporting, and proposing that our military commit international crimes of war.

He wants to build a 35ft high, concrete wall across the 2,000mi southern border of the US. “The wall is going to cost a fraction of that [$50 billion trade deficit with Mexico], maybe $10 billion or $12 billion, and it’s going to be a real wall." And says he is going to make Mexico pay for it. How the fuck is he going to do that? The US can't even keep Mexican brick weed from crossing the border and no one wants to buy that shit. Then factor in that he also plans on deporting 12 million Mexican immigrants in "18 - 24 months". How is he planning to do this shit? It is nothing but illusions of grandeur to prey on the scared. Just like Hitler blamed the Jews for the problems in Germany.

Fuck. Trump has even been known to keep a copy of Zweites Buch (the sequel to Mein Kampf) at his bedside. He confirmed this after his wife Ivanka said that he kept a copy next to his bed during an interview in the 1990's. He even attacked Megyn Kelly, "the lying media", for questioning his political positions during a political debate. He said she was on her period. What the fuck, didn't Hitler imprison journalists who opposed the Nazi party? Trump praised Putin as a great leader after being questioned why he would support a man who kills and imprisons American journalists. There are even reports of Trump's father being arrested in the 1920's at a KKK rally in a fight against the police. Trump denies his father to have any ties to the group, but he would not disavow David Duke and the Ku Klux Klan on CNN, just a few days ago.

The British House of Commons even had to hold a hearing to ban his entrance to the UK because of a petition calling for the bar of his entrance. "We've seen the result in Europe of what happens when you demonize and entire group of people for no reason from their race." Have you ever heard this type of thing happening to a serious contender for presidential nomination? It's absolutely asinine. The guy is just a flat out racist and demagogue. I just can not believe this shit. I really can not. Trump is the front runner of the GOP party and very likely to win the GOP Nomination. It is very scary that this is what Americans want for our country.

Hence my questions above. Is it even possible? There is clearly a lot of emotional whoo ha, almost bordering on hysteria going around, but if we stop and think clearly and logically..... I mean a President's power only goes that far, and in actual fact are more bound than freed. That is the point of any modern day democratic system isn't it?

Tongue in cheek....:p Isnt it maybe time for a President that "shakes" up the "status quo" system (within democratic limits off course), rather than those before, that bows/ed before the real powers behind the scenes....? Those invisible ones that REALLY drives the country?
Or is/was Donald Trump part of those behind the scene ones...?
Yeah its difficult times for you people indeed !!!

My beloved country are also in emotional turmoil atm. We sort of associate with your agony. We have a situation not seen in this country for a very long time...a brother/sister against brother/sister situation. Families are literally been torn apart by this. Its really putting enormous pressure on everyone. The whole country are in fierce debate....NZ hasn't seen this much action since who knows when....!

We're having a referendum shortly whether to change the National flag or not :D:D:D

Two points; Hitler was elected and yes, totally possible that he will be our elected official.

But if everyone wanted a non-politician, why did they not vote for Carson?

Because his statements were proven to be lies, or simply false, more often than even Donald Trump.

For now he's just making different noises that interests the people. If he's ellected (which is highly unlikely) can he do the things he talks about? According to the constitution....?
