Hi guys!

Recently I got the opportunity to dig up an older yew . It's around 20-25 years, has a somewhat interesting trunk with a thicknes of my wrist/forearm.

2 weeks ago I pruned it back heavy, but I left a generous amount of green foliage to support the root system. It's buds are still closed, but starting to open.

Since its the middle of spring, can I still dig it up with a high chanc of success, or should I leave it there? Or choose the Harrington way with september?

General temperature in my area is 22-15°C max and 3-10°C min, the air is somewhat humid, but it's windy

Bud swelling is what I look for to collect yew, so I'd do it now.

Sounds like the right time to me, too.
Got any pictures of it?
Some buds are closed, but some are starting to open
