This would be a rare occasion. Where the flowers sold me before seeing the neagari. I've had a hankering for this cultivar since last year. As they just photograph well in bloom. I am going to be opinionated...and say. Of all Hawthorn I think this one shows the best in flower. Thus...why I was smitten. We all know I am not a flower gal when it comes to bonsai. Yet here we are.

Pot is by one I'm not familiar with...North Eagle.

The upper canopy...hidden from view. After truly studying it today... I changed my plans for this tree to make it more whimsical. It will make sense once dormant.

I've video footage showing the undercarriage . Which hints at the structure over on Instagram today.

I love the flowers, Id love to find another one of these as a non-neagari pre bonsai.

Its crossed my mind to buy one from a nursery and try to air layer it but I dont know how well they air layer

I'm unsure how well this cultivar propagates. I know Paul's Scarlett is horrible. But believe the common Hawthorn air layers readily. So... (((shrugs))) could be a way to go. Definitely research . Which I know you will.

Have you thought to post in Bonsai Sales making an inquiry? Are you affiliated with that platform on Facebook?

Unless you've pulled yourself from the group. You should still be there. I had been inactive a long while. I'm still there

More graceful than mine. This is the Glastonbury one. I also have the Pauls scarlet and some young Oregon ones and some root prunings. I used to have a Crimson Cloud but gave it to a friend and he sucseeded in killing it quickly not following instructions.

I have a few garden volunteers with what I call a strange launch. Sand cherry and mountain ash. But first is that Glastonbury root pruning today.
