Finally...got it potted up. The colors compliment the pot beside it. Another procuben from the same late bonsai enthusiast my friends late brother in law. Which also needs reported and thinned out some.
Could a conifer/juniper work for this

If you clean that tall pot and invert it could make a nice stand for the little one! That little pot looks better then I thought honest - Nice!

@GrimLore lol imagine that...a stand to boot.
The pot is grimmy...will need to clean it. Was wanting to see if it made it through winter first...before going to the bother. Cheap pot...but eh...will work for the tree that's in it.
Thanks...love the tiny pot...the tree...un-inspirational...but wish I had taken a before photo. Straight bean pole with a good inch between scattered branches. Was so pathetic...twisted to compact...to be less ugly in my eyes.
