Thanks Y’all! I made this one to potentially use for one of my ponderosas in the spring. However, I think it’s a little too small. So I’ll make another one and the same style, but a couple inches larger. And then I’ll use whichever one fits best at repot time

Shohin oval, same glaze but on a different clay body. Lip got a little wonky on this one lol!

Unglazed cut corner rectangle with an experimental finish.


And a medium sized round with the same finish.

Here’s a small, riveted round. I think I’ll put an accent in this one.

My non-bonsai potter friend who fires all of these for me was really impressed with this one. He loved the different colored clay for the rivets. I didn’t have the heart to tell him that I’m pretty sure I didn’t do that on purpose but hey maybe I’ll play more with that in the future!

That's a very interesting glaze. It has all the visual features of a runny glaze, but the stability to go on all the way to the bottom and not actually run.

Thanks Michael! I think it is important to apply it (same with other runny glazes) very carefully and strategically, otherwise it will indeed run onto the kiln shelf and ruin the piece. I apply it higher and higher up the pot with each layer of glaze.
