Nice response! can you speak to when you collected (bud break?), what environment the tree was in etc? Cool piece! Saw your other thread by chance - how many survived of those you collected? Getting some this spring. Click to expand... All survived, these were all collected when buds began to swell and then kept in a enclosed area so they would not experience freezing temps. As far as area goes hornbeam tend to like wet feet. The specific area often floods when we get heavy rain.
