Chop to develop apex?

although I like wonky, I feel it needs to fit the overall image the tree provides. In this case I would -in time- probably go to the very small little branch on top.

I normally like wonky too as long as it fits tree but yeah since bottom base doesn’t have real movement thinking option 2 myself. I will Probably wait till spring to chop that. Not sure on base of tree as if I did ground layer at graft would lose substantial amount of taper at least initially.
