Chinese Elm #2

Till when? Will you be around during BURRS at TT's 12 & 13 november?

I just got back a couple of days ago. My two weeks was oct 6-20th.
I had a great trip, and my trees appear to be in good shape too :). I'm still jet lagged though, which is why I'm on here in the 5am hour!
What is BURRS?

Hope you didn't pass up the Randy hooker like @Vin .

Glad you're back safe!

Unless of course, Randy had a disease.

I love Elms. I have a few and I'm always looking to get more.
You too huh? I want one of every kind.
So far I only have Siberian, American ,YatsabuChinese elm, regular Chinese elm.

I have both kinds - dead and alive
I don't hang onto the dead ones too long.
On another note. I have a friend named Colin.
We call him colon. Do you get that too?
Sorry in advance. But you know I can't help myself sometimes.

Occasionally from adults who've heard Colin Powell's name pronounced that way, but the last time someone thought a large intestine joke was funny was probably middle school.

Edit: or maybe it's a punctuation joke ;)

I have a hard time staying away from lower intestine humor.
Lower intestine music.
Lower intestine talking.
There is a lot going on down there that a lot of people just take for granted or choose to ignore altogether. It's a shame.

So what did I actually get in the way of roots? Well, a slightly mixed bag, but pretty good overall - definitely workable.

Great and plentiful radial roots most of the way around, with a bit of a gap in a couple of spots. Fortunately there is live callus all the way around the edge, and I expect it to issue some more roots in this areas after potting it up.

I continued to chew away with the knob cutters until I got all the way up to the piece of wire I wrapped below the cut.

I'm worried about that top wire being so close to where the roots wanna come out

This one is for @sorce - you can clearly see the roots coming straight out from the trunk, just above my safety wire:
