Bonsai/ pre- bonsai tree swap

Yours is still the worst damage I have heard about from agree I shipped and I have sent a lot out since then... I bought some packing plastic wrap recently and it works really well at keeping the soil in a pot! I put wet newspaper over the top of the soil, wrap it in plastic and since I am shipping larger trees most the time it seems lately, I have been using Smaller boxes within the larger boxes to wedge the trees into place. It seems to work alright! I am going to just start using wire for some I think...
Eric, no worries!
It took me years to realize that I had to do thisimage.jpegin a WOOD CRATE! To keep the invalid drivers from destroying irreplaceable cargo. Oh, also heavy enough insurance to the point of... I hope you fuck this up! Works WONDERS!
Super cheap too!
For a little over $18 this was insured for $1500!

Trust no shipping people,,,Box them up, wrap the pot and roots, tie the container to the box etc so it can even go upside down. I also agree on the insurance side of things with good trees.

What do you have good for bonsai in Maine?

If you would like anything to trade from West Virginia I'm interested. We have a few suitable trees/bush from here:
Honeysuckle bush
American Beech
Willow Oak
Service berry
Black Cherry
Dogwood
White Pine
Hemlock
Honey Locust etc..

Worked on a boat trapping lobster this spring. .. I'll let you know if I get to follow it again ;):D:po_O:rolleyes::):confused::mad:

I'm sure it would smell oh so fresh by the time you received them.

I'll have some stuff ready soon. Most have roots popping out of the bottom of the pot already but I wouldn't feel comfortable selling them just yet. In the fall/spring, I'll have:

-Japanese Maples (standard and a few red ones that may be rhode island red?)
-*Dwarf pomegranate* as well as some full size pom seedlings
-seiju elm
-Higan cherry 'autumnalis'
-*kishu+shimpaku juniper*
-*Dwarf barbados cherry*
-*Chaste tree* (I really like the species!)
-(2) kotohime cuttings
-JBP seedling cuttings
-JRP seedling cuttings
-Virginia pine seedling cuttings (FYI, they root better with rooting hormone!)
-Toyo Nishiki Quince
-potentially some crabapple as well

There are a few species I wouldn't mind checking off my list...

This is what the JBP/JRP look like currently- they are in 2-inch pots with roots poking out the holes in most of them. The Virginia pine (pic 2) are slightly smaller but also well rooted and cute! I think they are focusing on root growth more while the JBP are focusing on top growth more?

Where in Maine are you @Nwaite im in augusta, we could meet up and talk cutting swap, I've got some elm, privet, Japanese hornbeam, some euro hornbeam just started and some JM's just started. And a bog chock full of larch down the road to go get in the spring

Soooo I have like 50+ too many kishu shimpaku cuttings; anyone interested? I'd like to trade them BUT I may have to sell them on the auctions page. Also have some of the other things listed above- the toyo nishiki cuttings look AWESOME but they were repotted this fall....

Looking for larger cannabis sativa. Prefer in blooming stage. If it sticks to inside of shipping carton, that's OK. Looking for deep purple blooms. I am in California so shipping could be a problem. Would be willing to pick up in Denny's parking lot any time after 11 PM Pacific.
