Looking for a reputable source for Itoigawa in the midwest?
They made it out to the PBE, I picked up a Dawn Redwood from them! Give them a visit if you are in the area: https://green-witch-gardens.myshopify.com/I see you're in Michigan, I would check with green witch gardens down in southeast michigan (my old stomping grounds). Haven't been around in awhile, but they've got pretty a pretty extensive stock
I'd add Kyle Boldie, pot punching potters, to that - he gets great material, same area, has been to our shows over the last couple years. Definitely worth reaching out to.They made it out to the PBE, I picked up a Dawn Redwood from them! Give them a visit if you are in the area: https://green-witch-gardens.myshopify.com/
Was there a couple years ago just after it changed hands. I'll have to give it another try. ThanksI see you're in Michigan, I would check with green witch gardens down in southeast michigan (my old stomping grounds). Haven't been around in awhile, but they've got pretty a pretty extensive stock
Lots of good suggestions here. Thanks for the help everyone. Next time I'm down south for a show, I'll make it a priority to pick something up for the collection.I'd add Kyle Boldie, pot punching potters, to that - he gets great material, same area, has been to our shows over the last couple years. We're considering moving up that way some day, great to know there's others up there to work trees with.As a side note: We have a burgeoning bonsai club here in the Upper Peninsula (Gichigami Bonsai Guild) We are in the seedling phase of growth (about 60 members), but host collection trips seasonally.
PM me here (or on our FB page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/918702918806403/) when you are in the area, I'd love to get together for hike and talk trees.
GWG is 15 min away from me. They've gotten a bunch of new trees and expanded significantly in the last few years. Picked up this Itoigawa in August. They had 30+ at the time. Was there a couple years ago just after it changed hands. I'll have to give it another try. Thanks

Curious the price for that beauty?Picked up this Itoigawa in August
I thought it was priced high, but I'd seen whips being sold online for $25 plus shipping. It was $70, and you get a pot. Plus I didn't have an Itoigawa. Don't tell my wife.Curious the price for that beauty?
Definitely be reaching out to him. Hopefully grab a couple, that looks like some nice stockMark Fields has some really nice ones
Seems fair to me. Maybe a little steep, but I don't know the going rate for pre-bonsai itoigawa.IDK If that's a good or bad price?
