Avid, rust mites, best time to apply

Hi folks - I've got several young bald cypress trees. One got hit pretty good by rust mites this year, and I've got others that have experienced some impact. This summer, I did a couple applications of Bayer 3-in-1 spray, which didn't seem to do much. So next up I plan to use Avid (Abectmin).

Is there a best time of year when I should apply a first and second dose of Avid? I wouldn't mind starting now but wonder if it's better to wait until spring or summer for any reason.
