Annealing Copper Wire

I want to try my hand at annealing copper wire this weekend. Any recommendation about the gauges of wire I should get from Lowe's?

I use all gauges from 4 to 20.

I use 16 and 14 the most.

Bare ground wire AWG 10 to 4, stripping sucks, and burning it is noxious. Annealing was a fun experiment, but I buy it now.

It's worth knowing how to do. It's easy and I don't always want to buy a big ass roll of wire

haha Ok, I will get to it. Problem is I got a 25 ft roll! It looks daunting!
