Am I Honest Enough.....

Politics are an easy subject to navigate when you acknowledge that your political opinion is simply your opinion on politics. Only requires windex and a reflective surface. A conversation like any other. “I like chocolate” “oh geezI’m a vanilla guy”

Or we could watch the same four users rehash right versus left, good versus bad, fox versus cnn…
Some brainwashed dope thinks he has the answers versus a brain washed dope who has the others. Cmon, you gotta know how dumb you sound, you have been hearing the other dumb guy. That’s you! Ok I tried 🤷‍♂️
A bit naive, "in my opinion."
Lol!
Sall good man.
What I said was prefaced with the fact that I was not trying to get political.....but again, if simply pointing out the truth about something makes you political, then maybe the immediate recoiling reaction you have is actually the issue.
Sometimes the truth is ugly.....many choose to hide from it. I choose to point it out. That's all.

@just.wing.it Naive in your opinion? Yea it 100% is, naive in actuality? No one among us could say.
The second part of your comment… I’m assuming you’re considering yourself that select few that has made this website unpleasant with political outbursts. I’m only assuming that since you’re defending “those people “. That’s for you and your opinion to decide. But you shouldn’t care about my opinion about politics at all since we’re on a bonsai forum. I like you, and I might completely agree with you politically. But my point is that it wouldn’t matter and you shouldn’t be so offended by the fact that I may not. Or anyone else. They suck right? They’re wrong right? Unless they’re right, but wait who thought what? Did I like ulmus minor or Biden major? Or would that matter on a bonsai forum? Fuck if I can remember

Riddle me this:
What does this thread have with Swiss cheese?

So many rabbit holes that I can't help think of a slab of Swiss cheese. I can't even say I've read it all.

Just wanted to inflict some humor in here. Because...end of the day, life is what we make of it.

Ahh man... you assume too much...
Maybe I do too.

Rather than finding 235 people, just find one with 235k that you can borrow at 10%.

Better yet- I could just buy the house, and you could rent from me! Rent would be higher than the mortgage payment though. That is actually not a terrific amount of risk in my book. If I was in your town, I might actually consider this.

Sorry, sorce, but if things are that close, you just can't afford a $235K house. Simple as that. Houses further out away from big cities have a much better bang for the buck. Longer commutes are the down side. I know plenty people that commute 50-75 miles to work. Down here, we have a lot of chemical plants. People drive long distances to make over $100k a year. You can buy a LOT of gas for the $100K difference in price between a house close to the city and one 40-50 miles out.

The idea that you MAY make $100k a year making pots is not a reality until it IS a reality. Not saying it can't or won't happen, just that it didn't happen yet.

Move to Europe. System has got your back, your kids back, your wife's back. Lots of labor available, lots of artist funds to pick from.
Play your cards right and you don't have to work a day. It's frowned upon, but professional social benefit receivers get paid a 200 euros less than I do working 40 hours a week.
University tuition? How about 5K, all costs covered except housing.

He’s not planning on paying 10% per year. He’s planning on paying a TOTAL of 10% back, no matter how long it takes him. So, if it takes him 10 years to get the funds to pay you back, you would get your $235,000 plus $23,500. Which is nominally 1% per year!

Easier said than done, it´s quite tough for non- EU citizens to gain residency here. All countries have slightly different rules but you can´t just come and jump on benefits. You need to prove you won´t be a draw on the system and even need private medical, at least for the first few years. Depending on if you even can qualify for a visa in the first place.

I would scour the skilled worker list for Australia https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/working-in-australia/skill-occupation-list and see if anything comes close. I mean they accept acupuncturists and naturopaths so get yourself the appropriate welding/nursing tickets(as an example) and you should qualify, still tough but if you ever get there you wouldn´t leave. I mean Europe is nice and all but hands down Australia would be a better option given a choice, same language too which helps a great deal.

Disagree. 13 years ago I had the concrete option to make Ozzy a permanent home, or return to Europe. Europe beats Oz on many fronts. And yes, I did the pros-and-cons spreadsheet thing.

Lol. That's the worst deal I have ever heard of. It doesn't even keep up with inflation. It would literally be a better deal to put that money under a mattress.

Thanks for clarifying!

If it's a waste of time to read this whole thread, certainly it's a waste of time to follow and act as my personal assistant!

Lol!!!

Sorce, I’m retired. I worked hard during my “working years”, and did side hustles to make extra money to invest for the future, meaning my retirement. So, now I can relax, mess with my trees, feed the fish in the pond, and laugh at your antics on BonsaiNut.

Please get on with your life. I joined this group to chat about bonsai. You, however, seem determined to derail conversations to nonsensical blabber, not withstanding your personal needs (which I'm starting to question). You need help. From now on, I will do my best to ignore you. I hope that doesn't poison opportunities to learn from experienced bonsai veterans on this forum in the future. No offense to those who have known Sorce for some time, but the guy needs help. I'm new to bonsai and very much enjoy the hobby, so I'll focus on that. As someone noted earlier in the thread, I'll look into removing him from my feed from this forum.

My parents gave me a lot to help me get through. They didn’t have money for college though. My Dad advised me to get a job that had tuition reimbursement- so I did that.
100 percent if I got A’s. So I got A’s.
I never got a degree but I got enough to get further in my career than without it.
