Al Keppler's Tips for Better Bonsai

If growing a seedling through a screen... how do you get it out of the screen without breaking the seedling all up?

I thought my old mix didn't have bark in it- it truly did. It was just in smaller pieces.
Using a little chunkier mix this time.
I have a hige pile of nursery soil from all the plants that either died or were bare rooted. I sift out the usable bark for use later. I'm a big fan of pine bark. Honestly I don't know if it's pine, spruce, or fir, but it has a lot of usable properties.

Im gonna download this on a word doc ty ty

Here is an example of it being done by the Great Mr Al Kepler.
Here is a link to his blog detailing how he did it. https://bonsaial.wordpress.com/2014/03/23/seedlings-phase-two/

OOOHHHH!!!! lol so its just a barrier forcing the trunk/ branches to go another direction besides straight lol Makes perfect sense now. The word striations was throwing me off. I was thinking lines along the sides of the stems, as if struggling to force through. Got it! Thank you!
