This tree is four years old. Some end of year photos from years past:



So I've just been letting it do it's thing. It's ready for a repot next year. It's last repot was in the beginning of 2022. I'd like to get it into a shallower grow pot. I may put it in the box my other silver maple is in and put that maple in a shallow training pot.



There's a little confusion in the branches so Ill have to deal with that next year.

Good to see some healthy backbudding after the chop. The lower trunk angle looks really interesting!

Repotted today.






Will let grow out rest of year and fertilize heavily.

End of year. Not much going on. Need to fertilize better next year and time my pruning a little earlier to hopefully get a more robust second flush. I added some wire for a little movement on what would be a primary branch.
