Very remise of me... haven't visited in a while - but haven't had any forum updates for a while. However, my bad for not paying attention.
The Japanese Maple forest group, put together from airlayers in 2023 - airlayers 2021. These photos taken 6th October '24. First year of seeing a colour change in the trunks of some. Last year the autumn/Fall colours came with gradual yellows through to the reds - this year they pretty much went from green to the reds. Not Deshojo Maple.

I somewhat envy people in colder climates for their beautiful fall colors. Our winters here are usually mild and slow to come in. Leaves kind of just get brown and ratty and drop in December. The joke here goes like this "Yeah, winter was pretty short last year. I think it was on a Tuesday......................in the morning."
