2021 National Bonsai Exhibition - Sept 11-12

This could be an incredibly ridiculous question and too early to even be asking. But, is the show going to continued on a bi-annual basis starting now from this year? Will the show be back next year to continue the original bi-annual schedule or pick up again in 2023 with this year being the new start of the bi-annual?

I was going to go last year and going this year won’t work as my wife graduates that weekend. I will def go next year if it happens. Hoping so.

Wouldn't next years big show be the shohin show in Kannapolis? Maybe @Bonsai Nut will go and I'll finally get to meet him?

Which would also be fun, but I’ve got family in Buffalo and Attica NY which are both less than an hour away. Logistically it makes a ton more sense for me.

The history prior to the pandemic was to have the NBE and the NSBE alternate years, so last year should have had the NBE in Rochester, and this year should have had the Shohin show in Kannapolis. My assumption at this point is that we'll be picking up that rotation again with this show in September.... which I will likely be attending .

I have it on good authority that the next US National Bonsai Exhibition will be held in September 2023. We will be holding the exhibition every other year.

Will there be a National Shohin Bonsai Exhibition in 2022? Kannapolis or an other location?

Don't know now, but I doubt it. We usually have well over 100 shohin bonsai at every US National Bonsai Exhibition.

That would make me sad to not attend or show in a shohin specific show, but I know that it is so much work to put on. Keep us posted @William N. Valavanis on this as it will affect many of us with plans for developing our collections and timing. So Glad that you are out of "Jail" and on the mend. Wishing a full and fast recovery!
