Finally putting up my entry here.
I wasn’t sure this one would survive after all the abuse I inflicted on this last summer.
As purchased. 8$ clearance tree
After the carnage.
Tree got crispy in the fall, so I didn’t count on this surviving the winter.
This spring all but the lowest branch died off. I easily striped off all the bark, and wired up the remaining branch.
Today.
I will care for this the best I can this year, and perhaps reduce the rootball next spring.

Just a little work on positioning.
The trunk is getting a little green so I will take care in my watering. Looks like Tanuki.
