I think I agree with that. Whenever I get red leaves and petioles, it's usually fresh (AND WEAK) new growth that I rub off.

Yeah. Pretty scary. I just searched all my OLD pix and can't find one that shows the interesting kink. It is interesting and would be nice to look at but I hesitate to remove it because I'm still not sure it would be an improvement. 🤔 2D pix are less than helpful. ;)

I would estimate the terra cotta is actually larger. Maybe 10-15% larger. ???? Or, maybe even about same size....insides. The one on left is a plastic one. I think you guys just wanted me to go back outside for a picture. ;) (which I should have done earlier but was too lazy)

I have that same pellet trap target. Good practice for squirrels. I shot 20+ at last house. Here in Sun City, only an occasional one shows up on the fence. I discourage it quick with only a Daisy BB gun. At the last place I had to resort to hardware cloth on the soil to keep the bastards...

Got smart! :) I've been lifting this monster juniper to get it on something the right height to prune. Cindy has a garden wagon. Sooooo.... I put down the sides and now have a ROLLING support low enough to have at it. Can even water the monster or haul into sun if it takes longer to prune...

Okay, what I ...did... (past tense) was take all the potato chip leaves and any that plipped off (is "plip" a verb?) :confused: or flipped off are in the yard waste bucket. It;s now in even LESS sun and I'll wait and see. Scraping bark showed a bit of green. 😋

This is the white Chinese Quince that got mashed by falling pot but rescued in time. Been fine for 3 years. But.... now.... I noticed leaves drooping the other day. Limp and droopy. I've watered same as the red one but yesterday the leaves ...looked... dry. They were. Crispy like potato...
