Arbor Day Tree Giveaway

In honor of our national tree holiday, Jonsteen is giving away tree seedlings! While supplies last, you pay shipping and handling only (limit 5 trees per customer).

i got 2 different trees (5 each) and just paid the shipping.. (so 5 trees for me is $24 to Texas) It seems to limit you to 5 trees of each of the 4 they offer.

Maritime Pine, Oregon White Oak, Coastal Live Oak, and Interior Live Oak... The seedlings are normally $8.99 plus shipping..

It's a yearly event. I got 5 Coastal Live oak and Interior Live Oak last Arbor day 2022. I believe the shipping was about $17 if i remember correctly.. just wanted to share..
 
Just came across this. They're doing it again, but this may be exceptionally late notice. Dawn Redwood or sweet gum.

I got five Dawn Redwoods last year. I repotted and wired the trunks to add a bit of movement immediately. A year later they have all survived and are thriving.

It gives me hope. We'll see how they do in the desert. What did you pot them into?
 
Just received my Jonsteen Arbor Day “free” trees. It was obvious that the shipping tube and trees took a beating on their way to my mailbox. The trees arrived in good health (despite the bits of foliage that were knock off). The only issue was I had ordered American Sweetgum but, they sent me Dawn Redwoods. I thought to myself, did I have dawn redwoods on the brain (the trees I had ordered last year) and accidentally hit the wrong choice during the ordering process? I double checked the invoice to see if I had made an error but nope, there it was in print, “American Sweetgum - Quantity 5”.
After an amusing conversation with the phone rep who thought that maybe I was confused, he apologized and said that he would send out the (5) Sweetgums ASAP at no cost to me.
