I'm not at all familiar with British flora, but if I were to hazard a guess, I would say it's probably a tree of some sort. I would even dare to say it's likely deciduous.
I do like the movement of that single trunk, for sure.

Yeah my mum said it may be a cherry @Empty Mountain so maybe.

The maple-like leaf plant could be black currant. Do leaves have a pungent smell if you crush them?
