The Tree Thread

This is tree I collected about 4 years ago, sold it to my friend and he just had it worked on by a professional bonsai artist. It is a Utah Juniper, can't wait to see what pot he pots it in.

Cosmic American hornbeam, just for kicks. I was thinking about selling this tree and then thought it would be perfect for this kind of project. I've always thought that Carpinus species would be good for the scarification because their wood is so hard. Planning to air layer the tree at the black line and see how far I can take this. I wonder if I'll regret not leaving more space inside the primary branches
