Before/After of this little juniper I picked it up three years ago for about $100.

This was one of the very first trees I ever worked on—just a long whip in a five-gallon nursery can.

Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to add some world-class yamadori to my collection, but honestly… this might still be my favorite tree on the bench. It’s quietly marked my growth as an artist in a way none of my other trees have.

Hope you dig the vibes—and maybe pick up a few ideas for your own work along the way.

As always, the support from the community here is really appreciated.

Awesome tree, awesome progression.
Love the video work man, good detail work, nice fades to blur and back, creative shots blend in well! I can see we're about the same age and grew up with the same movies. It must have been a ton of work to put that together.

Only comment I have is orange. I believe some more true-to-color filtering or lighting would do both you and the tree justice. I dig the style, don't get me wrong. Hollywood primed me to think everything with an orange filter is either in Mexico, Arabia or Africa.

Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and leave feedback. I was born and raised here in LA and work in the movie business. That’s definitely shaped my taste for certain aesthetic choices. I set my lights very warm as that’s what I personally like at the moment. Might switch it up depending on how I’m feeling next week though 😅
