I'm still using the rubber coated wire in spots but the rubber straps stretch/are adjustable and I'm able to secure nice pots without worrying about damaging them, and the attached metal hooks allows them to be firmly secured on multiple types of benches and stands, like the cement block pedestals I have for specimens.A wise man once told me to use wire to secure pots to the bench, and it works really well. You attach metal hooks to concrete blocks as well as wood? I do like idea of hooks to add to vs just wire wrapped around bench which is what I did with couple trees. Any pics of this?
I'm at work so this is the best I have right now. The metal hooks that you can't see in the image hook underneath the exposed edge of blocks that were staggered as the pedestal was built... you can see pedestals in the background here. It's the tension on the hook that holds it in place rather than any mechanical attachment but so far, so good. Fwiw, if I'm anticipating a high wind event, all my suspect trees are going on the ground. This just gives me some peace of mind.
