Cherry Blossom cutting

Happy to say, my cherry blossom cutting has started to root (currently 2 weeks old).

It was taken from the parent tree in our garden (we've had it for many, many years and brought it over to our current house when we moved). I'm not 100% sure which variety we have, but I will find out.

This is just going to be a fun experience, hopefully turning it into a little future bonsai and learning as I go along.

I just love it whenever I see progress on a cutting, don't you?

My cherry blossom cutting has just started to develop the start of tiny green shoots. I forgot to mention, I also have a brush cherry Syzygium cutting that has taken as well. So pleased! They both look like good potential for future bonsai trees.
