how hard is air layering cherry blossom

has anyone tried? how did it go. tips and tricks?

is this type of cherry even suitable for bonsai?

I assume Prunus serrulata? Never had that one but Prunus is relatively easy to air-layer. Plenty of Cherry Blossoms Bonsai photo's online.
