I keep getting yellowing on my Thryptomene. Treating the leaf with iron or repotting helps, but then chlorosis begins again. I grow in a well-draining substrate and fertilize 18-18-18 times a week. What am I doing wrong? Maybe too much phosphorus? But as far as I know, myrtaceae are not sensitive to phosphorus.

Sounds like you're fertilizing way too often. What does the label recommend for potted plants?

In the summer I take it out into the fresh air along with other trees. And I feed it the same way as the others, this is a garden fertilizer, the recommendations there are not for potted trees.

Treating weekly with garden fertilizer could be burning the roots and inhibiting nutrient uptake. That's just a guess, but if you're troubleshooting, it's as good a place as any to start.

I forgot that it has been turning yellow for a year now, from the moment I bought it. It became greener after changing the substrate, then after a while it turned yellow again. My substrate: diatomaceous earth, perlite, pine bark.
